At Mercedes-Benz of Fort Washington, we value our friends and neighbors. Like you, those we know and love are scattered from coast to coast, including many folks in the Los Angeles area. Because of that, we keenly feel the impact of the recent Los Angeles wildfires. However, we’re proud to be part of a team dedicated to giving back and helping those affected by the disaster. Here’s how Mercedes-Benz is responding to the recent fires and how our dealership works to be part of the solution.
Mercedes-Benz Aids in Community Recovery
Mercedes-Benz has facilities in affected parts of California, including Long Beach, Fontana, and Sunnyvale. That’s one reason they’re donating $500,000 to the American Red Cross and the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation to support relief efforts. The money will also help with community recovery, including providing food, shelter, and emergency support to affected families.
Helping Affected Owners and Lessees
In addition to monetary support, Mercedes-Benz is providing payment relief for a limited time. Affected drivers will have two-month deferrals on car payments, and collections activities have been suspended in the area, so drivers can focus on what matters most. Complimentary cabin air filters will also be available for drivers affected by smoke and poor air quality. Dealerships like ours can also contribute to the cause, with Mercedes-Benz matching employee donations up to $200.
